New Horizons

A lot has been happening in the littlewings designs studio lately, because we recently got into our first boutique here in Philly!

Square Peg Artery and Salvage is a boutique specializing in the work of handmade artisans, located in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. They carry a lot of amazing work, and it’s a great place for my work to get its foot in the door here in Philly.

We had two weeks turnaround time to make 28 pieces, and it was a lot of work, but good to have done. Check out the designs in person now, and maybe find something perfect for that special somebody on your Christmas shopping list.

Here are some process photos from the last two weeks:

convertible waist roll top bag, back panel under construction

owls stamped on muslin to make into hang tags and sew onto dust bags

bag stays in mid cutting, for all those rounded corners!

bag stays and wallets cut, ready to start sewing

rainbow of wallets with thread

stack of finished tags

getting there!

skein of wool dyed with tumeric, caribbean, and logwood natural dyes, ready to be crocheted into a hat

pillow gusset wallet, finished and shown in both of the available linings of teal and violet

Coming up, more production and custom orders! Our custom orders will be documented on here for their soon to be owners to follow their production; keeping checking it out, there just might be something you can’t live with out =D
